ISLAMABAD: As many as 42 % of Pakistanis have shown their dissatisfaction over with democratic system whereas just 19 % of people viewed that the democratic system could prevent the rights of the people and protections of independence while 3% believed that democratic system spread destruction in country.
The findings were come up in a joint survey of non political organization Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) and Gallup Pakistan, 2013 report on democracy in South Asia which was released on Thursday.
Report revealed that 42% peoples of Pakistan were not satisfied with democratic system prevailing in the country.
While 19% of population Pakistan believed that democratic system ensured people’s rights and protect independencies in the country.
Whereas 3% citizens of the country viewed that democracy was responsible for destruction.
According to the survey, youth showed dissatisfaction for democratic system more than older age peoples.
