KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has yet again demanded a strict action against Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) besides condemning police van blast in Karachi on Thursday (today).
Expressing his views in a joint session of MQM’s London and Karachi Rabita committee, he said that ordinary citizens cannot expect security from a government that cannot protect its law enforcers from Taliban besides claiming that even police fears TTP.
He lamented that killings of inoocent citizens in blasts and other terrorism related activities have not stopped despite government’s efforts for peace dialogue with the outlawed militant organisation and today’s police van blast has shown that they are determined foes of country, its people and peace at large.
He and his party said in a joint declaration that martyrdom of ordinary citizens of Pakistan, army, police and other law enforcement agencies personnel will not go in vain besides urging President, Prime minister and Interior minister to take action against culprits of blast and punish them according to the law of land.
