The action role playing game “Dark Souls’ second version for PlayStation 3, Xbox360 and Personal Computers will arrive next month.
Developed by From Software, Dark Souls II features gameplay mechanics similar to its predecessor; co-director Tomohiro Shibuya has stated that he has no intention of changing the controls.
The game features a whole new world with many weapons that are used to fight the monsters within the game. It has also been noted that you will be able to create a character!
Covenants, a feature in Dark Souls that allowed the player to align with different factions, are making a reappearance, though they will be easier to understand and more accessible to the player.
Plot
The story will revolve around a cursed character trying to find a cure for their sickness. It will be emotional and involved in the fashion of Demon’s Souls’ story. The game’s director has mentioned that the sequel is directly linked to its predecessor, and with detailed specifications as to how. The director also stated that the concept of space will factor into the story.
Black Armor Weapons Pack
The Black Armor and Collector’s Editions of Dark Souls 2 will include access to a “Black Armor Weapons Pack,” letting you use a special set of armor and weapons early. The set is pretty extensive, and would naturally make the game a bit easier at the outset, according to Joystiq.
