KARACHI: Despite government assurances, violence continued across Karachi as nine more people were killed on Monday.
At least three persons were killed when unidentified gunmen came on motorcycles and opened fire in Malir 15 area of the city, leaving two people dead on the spot and three injured.
The bodies and the injured people were shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
Another man lost life in another firing incident that occurred in Saddar area. He was identified as Samad.
A policeman was gunned down in Khada Market, Lyari and was identified as Raheel Khaskheli.
Two more persons were killed in firing incident near Qasba Mour. The victims were Arbab and Javed.
A man was shot dead in Nazimabad No 2.
It is worthy to note that Sindh government is claiming that peace is restored in the city and the operation is so successful that people are enjoying Sindh Festival at Karachi beach.
