Lahore: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday has said that nationalization damaged the country’s economic while the current government was in favor of privatization and will facilitate to the private sector to strengthen the economy.
While he was addressing at the 37th Export Trophy Awards ceremony in Lahore, the PM said that the government has nothing to do with to run industries and hotels.
He said that to strengthen private sector was the government main objective would be proved beneficiary for the national economy.
The PM said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government privatized the banks and they were giving the fruit.
During his speech, the PM given a good news that the government has committed to complete Karachi-Lahore motorway in the current tenure.
Our government is aiming to do more privatization in the country as it is the only solution to fight with the ruined economy which is need of the hour, the PM added.
He said the government was busy to overcome energy crisis but one thing should be cleared that it could not be solved in one day.
He said work on various mega and small power projects is in progress in different parts of the country.
