HANGU: Banned militants’ outfit, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), on Sunday has formally announced its 5-member committee to holds talks with federal government of Pakistan.
TTP committee comprising of Molana Sami-ul-Haq from Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Sami (JUI-S), Molana Abdul Aziz, a prayer leader of Lal Mosque Islamabad, Imran Khan, chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Mufti Kifayat Ullah of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) and Professor Ibrahim of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).
According to TTP spokesman Shahidullah Shahid said they will provide full security to dialogue related delegations in their areas.
The spokesman said Taliban Political Council will guide and monitor the Taliban peace committee, whereas, he added that previous governments used dialogue as a tool of war.
Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) had announced its four member committee included of Irfan Siddiqui, a journalist, Major (r) Amir, Rustum Shah Mahmond, a former diplomat and Rahim Ullah Yousuazai, a journalist.
