PESHAWAR: Banned militants’ outfit, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), on Saturday has announced members’ names of the committee for holding peace dialogues with Pakistan’s federal government-led team, local media reported.
The announcement has been made after the organisational advisory council, Shura, session of TTP, which named its prominent members to hold dialogues with Pakistani government.
The TTP-led committee includes Shahidullah Shahid, Umar Khalid Khurasani, Khalid Haqqani, Khan Syed alias Sajna and Qari Shakil, according to local media reports.
However, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) would made a formal announcement on February 2 (tomorrow) after finalisation of consultation session.
The council expressed its reservations over two names included in the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif formed committee, Major (r) Amir and Rustam Shah Mohmand, and demanded to exclude them from the dialogue committee members’ list.
TTP also made a suggestion to the Pakistani government for an addition in their committee-member list including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Sami (JUI-S) chief Maulana Sami-ul-Haq, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader Siraj ul Haq and Professor Ibrahim, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) Kifayat Ullah, reports said.
