Jan Koum, Whatsapp CEO, has announced that cross-platform mobile messaging app has 430 million active users now. In April 2003, Whatsapp had only 200 million active users, which means the app has doubled its user base in last 10 months.
The number of messages exchanged via Whatsapp has also gone up to 50 billion a day from 20 billion per day.
Although mobile services and social networking sites provide a great alternative for cross platform text messaging but Whatsapp has its own unique place and it’s growing furiously.
Following infographic shows the growth of Whatsapp in last 10 months.
