PESHAWAR: A politico-religious party, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Sami (JUI-S), chief Maulana Sami-ul-Haq on Wednesday has announced parting of the ways for bridging the dialogue process between Taliban and Pakistani government.
JUI-S chief Sami-ul-Haq claimed that he appealed for a ceasefire from the federal government on January 20 but the contrary action was taken as result of airstrikes on the tribal areas led by military planes in North Waziristan.
The JUI-S leader told the media that he is not in a position to provide bridging services for holding dialogues between Pakistani government and Taliban as the ruling authorities failed to implement ceasefire.
Sami-ul-Haq said that positive response was received from Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on January 2 and he also informed the PM Nawaz Sharif.
Sami added PM did not clarified future strategies of the dialogue process despite his repeated contacts.
