CHARSADDA: At least seven people including six policemen became victims of a bomb blast near a police van at Sardheri Bazar this morning.
According to police officials, nine people including two policemen also got injuries after the blast.
The police personnel were performing their duty with a team of anti-polio volunteers. Some extremists have threatened to attack polio volunteers on carrying out anti-polio campaign.
Similarly, Pakistan Taliban have been operating across the country to target state institutions and forces, which causes major damage to civilians. This seems to be another attack to weaken the strength of state authorities.
The blast victims were shifted to DHQ hospital Charsadda and Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar, rescue sources said.
