KARACHI: The Pakistani authorities on Monday have decided to appoint a senior police officer Fayyaz Laghari on a prominent post of the law enforcement agency as Inspector General (IG) of Sindh province.
Police officer Fayyaz Laghari has selected for an appointment on the Sindh’s top security post in the department following the retirement of current IG Sindh Shahid Nadeem Baloch reportedly on February 20 of this year, governmental sources said.
Sindh government would release the formal notification for his appointment within next 24 hours after final approval of the summary sent to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Fayyaz Laghari was well-known in the provincial police departments as well as between the governmental authorities for his long-term services as in past he also performed duties as CCPO Karachi and IG Sindh for last two times.
