KARACHI: The Pakistan’s provincial government of Sindh on Friday has approved the resolution for official holiday on December 27, the martyrdom day of late PPP’s chief Benazir Bhuttu.
The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)-led Sindh government passed the resolution for adding another holiday in the month of December.
The PPP’s lawmakers sought grant of an official holiday on the sorrowful event of their late leader Benazir Bhutto’s day of martyrdom, , local media reported.
However, the resolution has been approved by the members of the provincial assembly on basis of majority.
The Former Prime Minister and chief of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Benazir Bhutto (late), was shot down in Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007 during campaigning ahead of election scheduled in January 2008 while miscreants made suicide explosion as well following the shooting.
