RAWALPINDI: A US delegation headed by Lieutenant General John D. Johson, Director Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) visited General Headquarters to discuss Counter Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) related matters.
Lieutenant General John D. Johson also called on Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmad.
Both sides shared their experiences and discussed ways to defeat the growing menace of IEDs which is being faced not only by Pakistan and Afghanistan, but also by the world at large.
It may be mentioned that inter alia Pakistan is one of the major victims of IED attacks by the militants during last one decade. So far more than 50,000 Pakistanis have been victims of IED attacks.
