HOUSTON, Texas: At least 2 persons have been killed and 22 were injured during a gunfire rang out at a large party house in Cypress area situated in the suburbs of Houston, the largest city of Texas state of US.
Some miscreants opened fire during the party where more than 100 young adults gathered in a house located Cypress area located in Harris Country of Texas, reports said.
The Cypress area is located along U.S. Highway 290 (Northwest Freeway) approximately twenty-five miles (40 km) northwest of Downtown Houston.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office stated that two suspects were being sought early Sunday, but it did not elaborate the details till yet.
The sheriff’s office issued a statement saying a man and a woman were dead and that those hurt had wounds or injuries ranging from minor to critical. None were identified.
Seriff’s office refused for provision of further details, said that they could not immediately release further information and the public information officer for the sheriff’s office didn’t immediately return messages seeking further details.
Thomas Gilliland, a spokesman with the sheriff’s office, told the Houston Chronicle in its online edition early Sunday that some of the wounded received shots to the foot, ankle and hip. He also told the paper that others fleeing the home had injuries such as twisted ankles.
“It was a pretty chaotic scene,” Gilliland told the Houston Chronicle.
