DUBAI: International Cricket Council (ICC) announces names for the selected players for its people’s choice award. No Pakistani Cricketer has been inducted in the list by ICC, voting to continue till November 23.
No Pakistani Cricketer has been included in the list of players by ICC in People’s Choice Award. South Africa’s AB de Villiers, Indian batsmen Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Australia’s Michael Clarke, England’s Alastair Cook.
Voting for people’s choice award to begin today and will continue till November 23. Player who gets the most votes throughout the world will be awarded in annual ceremony of ICC. Earlier, two years ago, Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara was nominated.
According to the statement by ICC, “The quintet of players nominated for the award are Australia`s Michael Clarke, England`s Alastair Cook, India`s duo of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, and South Africa`s AB de Villiers”.
In order to vote for your favourite player, log on to www.Lgiccawards.com. Dhoni was also a contender in 2008 and 2009 where he emerged as a winner. On the other hand, Kohli was winner in 2012 awards.
