DUBAI: Pakistan will take on South Africa in the second One Day (ODI) in Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The first ODI between the Green Shirts and Proteas ended with a two run loss due to the irresponsibility by Pakistani batsmen.
The second match between the two sides will begin at 04:30 pm PST. The Proteas have an advantage over the Green Shirts due to the nerve-wrecking and nail biting victory in first of five match series. Thus they lead by 1-0 in the series.
Pakistani team failed to chase second lowest total of 183 runs by the Proteas leading to 1-0. It is likely that the South African squad may be retained. On the other hand, with the injury to opener Ahmad Shahzad, chances for inclusion of Asad Shafiq are bright.
Ahmad Shahzad said, “My innings can be a self satisfaction but if the team doesn’t win, it hurts,. It’s cricket, we handed an easy victory but we’ll come back hard”. He further added, “The team doctors are working hard on my fitness and I’m looking forward to play”.
