Rumours say Google is going to launch its Nexus 5 this month as the company has sent invitations for a special event scheduled on October 24.
While there’s no mention of Android or Nexus in the invitation, we can’t help wonder: will we see the much anticipated Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat?
Depite the rumours Geek dot com says a “reliable source” has told them that no hardware will be shown at the event. This could mean Google will focus solely on the Play Store for this one.
Details are scarce for now, but it seems that the “night out” event will be centered on the Play Store. Google is preparing to unveil some new developments related to its media offerings, namely music, movies, and games. A performance from indie band Capital Cities is also on schedule.
Another report says Google will make Android 4.4, the new Nexus 5, and the Nexus 10 public towards the end of October, possibly on October 31.
