KARACHI: Pakistan people’s party on Friday observed the 6th death anniversary of PPP’s worker on Karsaz, in provisional capital of Sindh, The News Tribe reported.
Chairman of PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has headed the anniversary program and said that PPP cannot forget the sacrifices of its workers, who died in for the party.
Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and other leaders of PPP, including Raza Rabbani, Shereen Rehman and Owais Muzaffar were presented in the anniversary program over Karsaz tragedy.
Quran Khawani and Fateha Khawani were held at Bilawal House and Chief Minister House in Karachi where Federal and Provincial Ministers and PPP leaders participated.
PPP observed the anniversary to pay tributes and homage to those who sacrificed their lives in the twin blasts. Six years ago on this day Karsaz Tragedy transpired that killed at least 177 people among millions others who came to greet Benazir Bhutto on her homecoming on this day in 2007.
Former PM Benazir Bhutto had returned to Pakistan on 18th October, 2007 after an exile of nine years. She was welcomed into the country with a horrifying explosion which killed more than 175 people and 500 people were reported injured.
Six years have passed but the people behind the attack are still at larger. The officials are busy in their statements and investigations whereas the relatives of the deceased are spending their lives remembering their loved ones.
