Washington: Good news for the Galaxy fans after HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S4 will get Android Jelly Bean 4.3 update in month of October.
Samsung apparently has begun testing the much-awaited Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Note 2, suggesting that it will arrive soon.
The news that Samsung has begun testing the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Note 2 is courtesy of SamMobile, who revealed the same via a Twitter post.
“Breaking: Samsung has just started testing Android 4.3 for the #GalaxyNoteII,” reads the SamMobile tweet.
We have reported earlier that Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 3 will skip Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2.
In another report, SamMobile discloses that Galaxy Note 2 will get the update in end November or early December. The Galaxy S3 will receive it in October-end or November, whereas the Galaxy S4 will get it next month.
According to the site, the flagship devices of South Korean technological giant will get additional functions, as well as the latest TouchWiz UI once Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is pushed out. SamMobile also reveals that Samsung is testing the update for the Galaxy Mega series as well.
“We also can confirm that Samsung is busy to test Android 4.3 for their Galaxy Mega series,” reveals the site.
Earlier in September “itech Post” reported that Samsung had officially confirmed that it would release Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software update for the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3 in October and now it seems that it will keep its promise. The update has also been spotted for the AT&T variant of the Galaxy S3 recently.
SamMobile does not reveal who the source of its information is and, therefore, the authenticity of the news is circumspect. However, it ties in with Samsung’s release timeline and, therefore, the publication could be on the money.
With October just around the corner, we’ll have to wait and see when the software update is pushed out and whether the international variants are the first to benefit (rather than the U.S. versions) as is usually the case.
