KARACHI: The Governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan has returned back to Karachi on Tuesday from Dubai who left the country a week ago followed by the rumours of his resignation over reservations on targeted operation in Karachi.
Governor Isharat-ul-Ibad Khan along with his family has arrived at Jinnah International Airport Karachi today and moved towards the Governor House without holding any press conference with the journalists.
Large number of journalists from different media departments awaited long for the arrival of the Governor Sindh on the Karachi Airport in order to get known about his stance for leaving the country, however, the top provincial official completely avoided to face media.
Earlier, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) sources revealed that Khan provided his resignation to the President Mamnoon Hussain due to imposition of targeted operation on his party workers and leaders in Sindh.
However, the governor’s spokesman afterwards denied the rumours and termed them ‘baseless’ while the President’s office also kept silence pertaining confirmation or denial of the resignation report.
Reports emerged that the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar contacted Ibad when he was present in Dubai and urged him to take back his decision as well as assured for resolution of his party’s reservations on Karachi operation.
