Berlin: Search engine giant Google after the success of Nexus 4 now gearing up to launch Nexus 5 with upcoming version of Android KitKat 4.4.
Google Nexus 5 have been rumored for long time and now the it may become first device to use Android KitKat 4.4.
Nestle’s KitKat Facebook page in Germany has confirmed that Android 4.4 KitKat will launch in October this year, probably along with the rumored Nexus 5.
Google recently announced the next version of its mobile operating system, Android 4.4 KitKat, and customers will be eagerly waiting to receive a software update on their Android devices.
The company has not yet confirmed the details of the enhancements, what devices will be receiving the update or when the upcoming firmware will roll out. However, a user asked a question on KitKat’s Facebook page, inquiring about the arrival of the latest software update, and received a response that it will be released in October.
“Again, it’s questionable if Nestlé social media employees really know the planned release date but since this answer was – typically German – straight forward; and the release date was repeated a second time today, there’s indeed a real chance that our Android phones will get an upgrade from Jell Beans to Kit Kat in October – we’ll see,” reports The Unwired.
Usually, Google launches its new operating system along with a smartphone or a tablet. The new Nexus 7 (2013) was the first to come pre-loaded with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The Nexus 4 was the first to get Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and the original Nexus 7 tablet was the first device to have Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. As such, a new Nexus device may be the first to launch with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat.
A previous report suggests that Google will launch the highly-anticipated Nexus 5 on Oct. 14 and the device will be the first to come pre-loaded with Android 4.4 KitKat. Even though Google has not yet announced its plans to launch the Nexus 5 smartphone, many rumors hint that the handset will launch sooner than later.
The Nexus 5 was spotted in the Android 4.4 KitKat unveiling video, which was only briefly available before Google took it down. A few leaked images and videos of the handset have also emerged online. Moreover, the smartphone was recently spotted on Brazil’s equivalent of FCC.
The smartphone arena is getting very competitive, as such Google will have to deploy its best in the making of Nexus 5 to attract more customers to the handset.
