KARACHI: The Sindh High Court will review the corrected Deed of Compromise on the Shahzeb Murder Case on Sep 21.
The family of Shahzeb, who was killed by a group of influential youths while attempting to protect honour of his sister, pardoned the murderers last week.
The pardoning triggered a strong online and offline protest from the supports of the cause of justice for Shahzeb, whose killers were not being arrested over their links with influential personalities.
Last week, the family members of Shahzeb submitted a Deed of Compromise which was returned by the court for having errors in it.
Now after the correction, Shahzeb’s family has submitted the deed again.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan while commenting indirectly on the issue said that pardoning killers in the name Allah is ‘Fisadfil Ardh (chaos on the earth).’
Though parents say that they forgive killers without taking any money, multiple reports have emerged quoting different amount up to Rs. 200 million which has been paid to the grieved family for pardoning.
