Karachi: As the Rangers and Police personnel continue their raids in different parts of the port city, Parliamentary leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) reveals that even LCDs have been ‘arrested’ by law enforcers during the raids.
Expressed dissatisfaction over the recent targeted operation being head by Sindh government, Hyder Abbas Rizvi said that the recent targeted operations are politically biased against MQM.
He claims that the operations doesn’t seem to be transparent and are being carried out in their mandated areas. The efforts of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and interior Minister have been sabotaged because of Sindh government’s biased approach.
Hyder Abbas Rizvi in a press conference along with MQM leaders Amir Khan and Nasreen Jalil further added that if things like these continue to happen, peace cannot be made possible.
He said that MQM had the right to protest under democratic rules. The targeted operation must not be biased and must be targeted towards criminals.
The MQM leader stated that Shershah murder criminals had not yet been caught.
“On the other hand, Nadeem Hashmi was former M.P.A who was first arrested and then F.I.R was registered against him. Madhu Goth criminals were released on behalf of which authority? The criminals were involved in killing DSP and other security officials. Peoples Aman Committee members were abroad even though their non bail able arrest warrants have been issued. Peoples Aman Committee videos are available everywhere in which people were being mercilessly killed.”
He said that if such criminals were within the ranks of MQM, then action must be taken against them.
“But targeting people having mandate and confidence of public is a question mark over the performance of Sindh government’s bias approach.”
