ISLAMABAD: The outgoing President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari has decided to step into politics and lead Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) as co-chairman.
Asif Ali Zardari will be finishing his five year tenure as President of Pakistan tomorrow. For this purpose, a farewell will be given by Pakistan army in President House.
Asif Zardari will be meeting staff of ‘Aiwan-e-Saddar’ for one last time and then head to Lahore. On Monday, 9th September the newly elected President Mamnoon Hussain will take oath from Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry before starting his duties.
According to the sources of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), the outgoing President has decided to lead his party as co-chairman.
For this purpose, he has called meeting with the leaders of PPP on 8th September. Sources say that the co chairman of PPP will be in Punjab while leading the party. This would help them in next elections and the party may gain maximum seats in Punjab.
