ISLAMABAD: The leader of Awami Muslim League, an opposition party in Pakistan parliament Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has criticized the federal government on bad law and order situation in country’s largest city Karachi.
In his recent interview Mr. Rasheed has said that PML-N government needs to remember that Karachi isn’t the city like it was in 1990, so the solution can’t be one had adopted in that time.
Criticizing Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif he said that “Only serious face” can’t resolve problems in Pakistan, Karachi’s situation needs sincere efforts”.
“Country’s largest province Balochistan is working without cabinet, PML-N leadership had ignored Sindh in recent bi-elections while there is no delivery in center. In this situation how anyone can be optimistic about government performance?”
Outspoken Sheikh Rashid has said that lay men in Karachi want peace and good law and order situation in the city, permanent steps to be taken to resolve the situation in the metropolis.
Mr. Rasheed has blamed the ruling party PML-N and main opposition party PPP and said that instead of resolving the issues both parties have “soft corners” for each other.
“Appointment of national accountability bureau’s chairmen will show the sincerity of PML-N government about elimination of corruption” he said while commenting on transparency in Pakistani politics.
Mr. Rashid has said that people were hopeful before general election of May 2013, but now after 90 days performance of the current government they don’t have any optimism.
