With an array of rumours bombarding tech forums about iWatch from Apple, Samsung decides to launch its smartwatch with name “Galaxy Gear.”
This should be seen as alarming for the traditional watch manufacturers who are still luring the consumers through elegance and social standing.
But the trends have been changing rapidly with the boom of smart devices.
Apple and Samsung have been endeavouring to rule the smartwatch segement, though it has to be developed yet on firm standing.
Apple has been planning to introduce wearable smart device with the name ‘iWatch’, which is expected to be run through its iOS operating system.
In the competition, Samsung plans to launch ‘Galaxy Gear’ smartwatch, which would be run on latest version of Android operating system.
The display of the smartwatch, of course, will not big enough; but some analysts believe it could be some where around 1.6 inch or above.
Samsung is holding a significant press event at IFA on Thursday, so we could expect any big announcement in this regard keeping in view of Apple’s upcoming event on September 10.
