Karachi: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Karachi on two-day visit after presiding over meeting with the federal cabinet to discuss worsening condition of law and order in the metropolitan city of Pakistan.
Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah welcomed the PM Nawaz Sharif on Jinnah International Airport Karachi.
The PM accompanied with federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar and information minister Pervaiz Rashid and expected to be the participants of upcoming high-level meeting over Karachi peace crisis.
According to the sources at PM secretariat that a joint grand targeted operation awaits the approval from the Prime Minister. The squad for joint operation in the metropolis of Karachi will comprise of Sindh Police, Rangers and FC.
According to an official statement, the PM likely to attend a Pakistan Navy function before a few meetings with some political leaders and senior officials in the evening while the federal cabinet is scheduled to meet on Wednesday”.
It should be mentioned that the provincial information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has not been permitted in the high-level meeting despite request sent by Sindh authorities.
