ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has decided to organise special ceremony in honour of outgoing President Asif Ali Zardari later this month.
PM Sharif decided organising of farewell event and dinner full of honour and recognition for outgoing President Zardari over his significant role for peaceful power transfer.
The event likely to be arranged in PM House Islamabad in the end of August while prominent leaders of Pakistan People’s Party will also be invited along with the members of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)’s federal cabinet, sources closer to the PM House said.
Sources added that PM took the decision in an answer to Asif Ali Zardari’s delightful attitude as whenever he went to meet President in his house Zardari welcomed him each time on arrival and departure.
President Zardari maintained his friendly behavior with Sharif during parliamentary combined session in which he personally received over arrival and departure of PM.
President Asif Ali Zardari’s tenure is completing on September 9 while his post has be succeeded by Mamnoon Hussain during presidential election of Pakistan.
Guard of Honour will also be presented to President Asif Ali Zardari on September 8 and he will commence his farewell meetings with military and political personalities.
