ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan has expressed its anger over slackness from the governmental officials to submit their stance in the court.
Hearing a suo-moto notice against Islamabad Shootout, a drama held last week in the capital city, Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry holds PEMRA (Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority) responsible to bar private news channels from live coverage.
All the Pakistan news channels had aired on live broadcast for almost five hours of all the activities of Sikandar, who was in Blue Area of Islamabad with his wife Kanwal and two kids, Abdullah and Umme Farwa.
“If you have submitted a detailed answer, then we would have come after reading it,” CJ, who was heading a 3-member bench, observed while reacting over officials lack of response on the issue.
