Peshawar: Government of KPK has taken a major step to build European style cities near Abbotabad.
Parvez Khattak, Chief Minister KPK has announced two mega cities to be introduced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The city will feature all the latest facilities and upgraded lifestyle to be established near Abbotabad and Motorway M-1 near Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed Interchange.
While chairing a meeting of the Department of Provincial Housing at his office on Tuesday, he said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan aims to provide up to date residential facilities to the people of KPK at reasonable cost. The participants of the meeting were briefed regarding the projects in  mega city by the Secretary Housing Department.
The estimated cost of the mega city near M-1 Motorway will be a 54,000 kanal land worth Rs. 45.80 billion and will feature all up to date facilities of the modern society. The project includes sui gas, education complex, medical complex, five/seven star hotel, commercial zone, police station, Mosques, Apartments, Golf course, theme parks, petrol/CNG stations, play grounds, green belts, wide roads and electricity. More than 602130 people can be benefited from the proposed project.
Chief Minister KPK, Parvez Khattak has ordered to submit the final plan within 15 days for formal approval. While addressing to the session, he named the project as one of the most important ones. He further said that the mega city will become center of attention for business and commercial activities.
Economic Coordinator, KPK, Rafaqatulah Babar while talking to media at Peshawar stated that 4000 kanal as reported by local news. He said that the project will promote the industry of tourism and will decrease the load in Abbotabad City.
