WASHINGTON: Google Nexus 5 will be a mixture of Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and LG G2,as report claims that the device will be coming with same front and back glass panels as Nexus 4.
We have heard few days before that LG is the build of the Google Nexus 5 and the new smartphone will be a mixture of the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and LG G2.
When LG unveiled the LG G2 at its press event, rumors soon followed that the smartphone would likely be offered as a Google Play edition, just like the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One. LG quickly shot down any rumors that it was planning on following Samsung and HTC. It appears that there might be a very good reason why it won’t be offered as a Google Play edition, as it’s looking more and more likely that LG will be building the Nexus 5. The next-generation Google Nexus smartphone will reportedly share many hardware specifications with the new LG G2.
The smartphone will use the same 5.2-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD IPS display found on the LG G2 and it will also use the same 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. That’s where the similarities end.
The source claims that the Nexus 5’s design is very similar to the Nexus 4. It will sport front and back glass panels and have a premium feel. The smartphone will also miss out on the G2’s new Rear-Key concept that placed the power and volume buttons on the back of the handset. Its power button and volume rocker will be placed on the side of the smartphone, just like on the Nexus 4.
The smartphone is also expected to be thicker than the LG G2 and reportedly appears similar to the new Nexus 7 with its thin bezels and body. The Nexus 5 will reportedly be the first device to ship with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. Google is expected to officially announce the new OS and Nexus 5 smartphone at an event in October. For now, however, this remains in the rumors state.
