NEW YORK: As Windows phone giant Nokia and South Korean technological giant Samsung getting ready to debut their respective phablets likely in the same month.
Nokia will be introducing its first ever phablet while Samsung will be introducing third version of its flagship device Samsung Galaxy Note.
Samsung get the astonishing response on the launch of Galaxy Note 2 and it is running on the same pace.
On the other hand Nokia also shocked the word by introducing Nokia Lumia 1020 with 41 mega-pixels camera.
A new concept of the Lumia 1080 phablet aka “Bendit” gives us a glimpse into what the Galaxy Note-like device from Nokia may look like. The Lumia 1080 prototype is courtesy of Neowin, which has envisioned a “completely fictional” Lumia 1080 phablet.
Here are some specs of the upcoming phablets:
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will have a 6 inch full HD AMOLED display while Nokia Lumia 1080p is expected to come with a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED capacitive display including Gorilla Glass 3 protection in tow. The device also includes pixel resolution of 1920 x1080 pixels (Full HD) and a pixel density of 440 pixels per inch (ppi).
Samsung’s own Exynos 5 Octa processor with LTE while it has upgraded RAM up to 3 GB. On the other hand a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.3GHz processor will power the device. The Lumia 1080 will also pack in Adreno 330 graphics, 2GB of RAM.
Nokia Lumia will offer 32GB or 64GB of on-board storage, with the option to expand to a further 64GB via microSD. Galaxy Note 3’s internal memory is up to 32 GB with microSD card expansion.
The Nokia phablet will have a powerful 16-megapixel primary PureView camera with dual LED flash, as well as a 2.2-megapixel front-facing snapper. Note 3 is expected to come with 13 Megapixel rear and 3 Megapixel front cameras.
Note 3 will run the latest Android Jelly bean 4.3 while Windows 8.1 will run on Nokia Lumia 1080p.
So the above features describes the whole situation that Nokia will be coming with a wow factor to capture small size tablet market while Samsung likely to dominate once again with its upcoming device Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
