Islamabad: Newly elected President of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain has said that Karachi is my city, whenever I think of peace in Pakistan, I think of peace in Karachi and I am well aware of the situation in the city.
We will have to focus on Karachi, because it is the city that has its own impact on entire country.
In an interview, he said that in the past lacking of strict action helped the criminals to grow. This is because of the political support to criminals, extortionists and land grabbers.
He stated President was the identity of the state and that he would personally try visiting all provinces and ensure solving of all problems through mutual understanding.
“I will try to resolve the conflict of water amongst provinces.”
He further added, he will try not to use President’s office for the purpose of achieving political point scoring.
“Muslim League (Nawaz) will not get any favors from my office because they don’t need to,” the president said.
He also said that he wish to visit his place of birth Agra and see Taj Mehal.
