RAWALPINDI: Following a deadly attack on Dera Ismail Khan jail leaving four personnel dead and dozens terrorists escaped, intelligence agencies warn that such attacks could be made on Adiala Jail.
According to a report, terrorists have been freely using mobile phone in coalesce with jail staff who is facilitating criminals in return to alleged financial benefits.
“A warden’s mobile has been detected using 250 SIMS in the investigation,” the report further said.
The report has recommended to re-direct mobile phone signal towers so that signals could not spread over jail. At least Rs. 5 million is required to install mobile phone jammer, it further said.
The provincial government of Punjab has deputed elite commandos on all jails of the province following threats of attack from terrorists.
