PESHAWAR: With all boasting of providing relief to the masses, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government in restive Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa has failed to control price surge on eatables across the province.
It has become a tradition in the country that just after the start of Ramadan, prices of eatables becomes skyrocketing with no check from the authorities. The poor masses have to bear the brunt of this negligence.
According to The News Tribe’s correspondent in the province, prices of vegetables, fruits, edibles other items have shot up to more than 100 percent.
“Tomatoes, which were being sold at a price of Rs. 50 to 60, prices have touched a peak of Rs. 110 per kilogram after start of Ramadan,” he further said.
