ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s federal body on energy development revealed plan for generation of electricity up to 2500 Mega Watts through various wind farm projects.
The revelation of the plan was done by spokesperson of Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) on Sunday to collect electricity through wind by 2015.
He claimed that significant amount of power received by wind farm projects will fulfill national energy requirement.
The spokesperson said that government will use the cost effective plan for eliminating energy crisis in Pakistan while another alternate medium for collecting electricity is through thermal power by private investments.
The AEDB official added that development of this sector will also provide jobs to the Pakistanis especially youth and the wind projects are also environment-friendly‚ safe and economically competitive.
