BEIJING: Pakistan and China signed eight agreements on Friday during Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit which termed as advancement of bilateral relationship and strong economic cooperation.
The agreements were signed after official meeting initiated between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang in Beijing.
Establishment of an economic corridor between Pak-China following the agreements include construction of Gwadar to Kashgar roads and railway network, 2000 mega watts coal power plants’ projects as well as solar power generating project for Punjab and fiber optic line between Rawalpindi and Khunjerab at cost of $440 million.
Memorandum of understanding (MoU) also signed by both side on eradication of polio, cooperation in economic and technical sections, exchange and corporation.
