PESHAWAR: Stepping into , reportedly mismanagement in the provincial government affairs, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa (KPK) government for its betterment, Imran Khan calls for setting up an independent accountability cell.
“The cell will work independently and will not fall under the provincial government,” Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman said in an interview.
The move is aimed at ensuring transparency in the provincial governance as the coalition government, a combination of PTI, Jamaat e Islami and Qaumi Watan Party, has started flying into power zones for the first time.
“PTI is adopting the policy of tolerance and does not want to destabilize the system,” Khan further said.
The involvement of the chairman should be seen in connection with claims from PTI leaders that they would run a model government in the province.
