ISLAMABAD: An official of Pakistan’s petroleum department said that Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project will be completed in the end 2014 which results significant increase in energy sector.
Mr. Abid Saeed, Secretary of Federal Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, said that Pakistan will obtain 750 million cubic feet gas on daily basis after the completion of prominent project from 2014.
According to the secretary statement, electricity will be also be generated by the received gas upto 5000 mega watts in order to eliminate load shedding issue across Pakistan while one billion cubic feet will be provided to other sectors.
Reiterating on the directive of Petroleum’s senate committee, Saeed said that small-scale power houses will be opened in Gwadar and suburbs as well as coastal areas like Pasni and Ormara of Balochistan province.
