ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has set up a committee to bring back Dr. Aafia Siddiqi, who is in US detention for last many years.
Constituting the committee, Nisar further said that the committee will ensure measures to bring back the educationist, charged with terrorism and firing on United States troops back to the country.
Last week sister of the detail Aafia, Fauzia Siddiqi met with the federal interior minister. In this meeting the minister pledged to taking measures for Aafia’s return.
Dr. Aafia Siddiqui has been in the United State prison for the last several years on allegations of firing on US troops.
Task Force for Missing Person
The minister has further ordered to set up a task force withing two weeks to look after the matter of missing persons.
The task force will work with security agencies as well as affected families to compile the list of missing people.
