ISLAMABAD: Calling it to be a misreporting from media, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan says has not given any ultimatum to any provincial government over law and order.
After federal interior minister’s speech over consultation on new security policy, some part of the media reported that he has given Sindh government ultimatum of one month to restore peace in the province.
“I have not given ultimatum to any provincial govt,” Nisar clarified his stance over ultimatum to Sindh government responding on point of order from opposition leader Syed Khursheed Shah in national assembly.
“Interior Minister has no authority to give ultimatums to the provincial governments,” the minister further said regretting over one media group which reported his statement out the context.
“The federal government will extend all possible support to the provincial governments to resolve the issue of law and order.”
