ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has approved the increment in electricity prices for the ‘inflation-hit Pakistanis’.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has called a high-level meeting of energy department’s top officials and several experts to deliberate on matters relating to energy crisis in Pakistan, which is held today to derive important decisions.
The meeting had decided to release a new energy policy in the end of this month while Sharif-led meeting also approved to establishment a new office for project management in the Ministry of Water & Power.
The PM has ordered the officials to work on emergency basis to provide relief to the public and decided to review the performance reports on weekly basis.
Top officials have gave briefing before Nawaz Sharif on the plans for the elimination of energy crisis in order to provide relief to the locals across Pakistan.
According to officials, new action plans is ready to be imposed for electricity bill receiving.
