ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s anti-terrorism court on Wednesday has rejected the bail plea of Former military president Pervez Musharraf.
Anti-terrorism court’s judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi refused the acceptance of Musharraf’s bail request during the hearing of the case in the federal capital city Islamabad.
During the hearing prosecutor Amir Nadeem said that 780-A clause is added in the charges against Mushraraf, moreover, former military dictator detention of judges along their families was kept for six months at least as well as emergency imposition created irreversible loss for the country.
He requested the court, Nadeem said that bail cannot be given to the convicted as the crime is punishable by minimum ten years person under the terrorism ordinance.
The court inquired about the presentation of charge sheet against the convicted before ATC, the officer responded that he is only continuing the public prosecution on bail plea and could not say about the challan details but letters in this regard were sent to three different department which is yet unanswered.
After the completion of evidences forwarded before ATC, the court rejected Pervez Musharraf’s bail plea.
