Islamabad: After a long discussion over alleged rigging in Karachi, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) decides to depute army at 43 polling stations of NA-250.
Re-polling will be held in 43 polling stations of the constituency on May 19 with army troops to oversee the polling this time.

Acknowledging complaints of rigging and hijacking of polling stations in NA-250 constituency of Karachi, Election Commission of Pakistan has ordered re-polling in the constituency on May 19.
Re-polling will be held in 43 polling stations of the area, which were blamed to be hijacked by unknown culprits.
Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat e Islami (JI) have raised the issue after which rest of the parties joined the chorus of rigging.
From PTI, former general secretary Dr. Arif Alvi was contesting while other prominent candidates include Khushbakht Shujat of Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Naimatullah Khan of JI.
PTI has arranged various rallies and sit-ins in the port city demanding for re-polling in the constituency as well as on all seats of the city. Rejecting demand from PTI, MQM however demands re-polling on seats from Lyari and Defence and adjacent areas.
