Yesterday after all the rallies against rigging, a new trend emerged on the social media that absorbed the attention of the people and now literally everyone is trying to understand the origin of the trend.
Some PTI supporters claim it is the result of the effort of some social media team that works for MQM while some others say it is a genuine trend.
Supporters from both sides have huge presence on the twitter and as of now Twitter seems to be a battle ground more than a social media site.
The supporters of this trend are claiming that PTI is using the terrorist elements which will further aggravate the violence in the city.
These tweets claim that PTI has formed an alliance with the elements which have been waging a war against MQM and so PTI appears to be an enemy of Krachiites because now there will be more divide and more violence.
On the other hand, PTI supporters claim that it is not an original user base campaign.
Rather it an effort of the social media team of MQM who wants to create an impression that citizens of Karachi are not with PTI.
They claim that yesterday the imagery of PTI rally on the national media sent a signal that even the liberal and educated people of the city are not with MQM anymore which has caused a stir in the inner circles of MQM and they have resigned to create an impression that the city it still with them.
The war is still on and hot and with each passing tweet, it is gaining momentum. It appears that this online war very soon will bring some offline like outcomes.
