PESHAWAR: Police thwarted terrorism bid in the volatile northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, here on Wednesday.
The raid was conducted in the Armer area of the provincial capital, wherein two ready bombs were confiscated and dismantled on the scene.
Other heavy explosives, probably to be used to target high profile personalities and affect law, order on eve of general elections, were also reportedly recovered from the scene.
The law enforcement agency took into custody two suspects after the discovery of the destructive material.
Several deadly blasts have occurred in the province recently, killing many and causing massive damage to properties.
