Islamabad: Pakistan’s Foreign Office on Friday said that Indian spy Sarabjit Singh has been given consular access after he was badly hurt in an attack at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore, a metropolitan of Pakistan.
After suffering from serious head injury, the Indian spy has been on ventilator in government-run Jinnah Hospital.
In a news briefing at foreign office, the spokesman said that Pakistan is more ahead in providing humanitarian services to foreign prisoners.
“We have given the counselor access to Indian diplomats in record time,” he added.
The spokesman said that the Punjab Home Department and Interior Ministry were jointly probing the issue. Indian High Commission has contacted Pakistan foreign office over the issue.
