ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) of Pakistan has been allowed to investigate Gen (retd) Musharraf on a four-day bodily remand in the Benazir Bhutto murder case.
The verdict was given by the Anti Terrorism Court (ATC), here on Friday.
However, the former army chief would be ‘interrogated’ in his own farmhouse turned into sub jail.
The law prosecutor of the agency had pleaded that the former army chief faces the allegations of murder and terrorism and must be investigated thoroughly.
Meanwhile, the ATC rejected the plea of lawyers of Gen (retd) Musharraf to change the joint investigation team.
After the proceedings of the case, the former president was escorted from the court to his farmhouse in Chak Shehzad.
