Karachi: Following a bomb explosion near Muttahida Qaumi Movement election camp which left four person die, Karachi has been on standstill situation to which Karachiites are very used to now.
When office workers got up early in the morning and reached bus stops, they found nothing but just dozens of other people waiting for public transports.
It could be imagined that those who do have their own transports might have escaped this scenario. But the situation for most of the motorcycle owners has been the same as they usually get fuel on daily basis, especially when going to office in the morning.
But when they reached petrol pumps, they found tents had shielded the pumps indicating that the owners are not in a mood to get torched their pumps. The irritated bikers had no other option but to turn their motorcylces back to their homes.
Bakeries, which are the best-selling shops in the morning, were closed too. Similarly dairy shops, grocery stores and all type of shops are closed till filing of this report.
Not to mention, the joy kis had this morning with a complete closure of schools throughout the city.
Police mobiles could be seen at corner of every major round-about of the metropolis, but they looked busy instead in catching bikes, which have not installed white number plates yet on their vehicles.
So in a period when general elections are just a couple of weeks ahead, observing this type of scenario is obviously an alarming thing.
