KARACHI: “The electoral office of Jamat-e-Islami has been torched in Nazimabad, urging prompt action by the authorities to curb the activities of criminals.”This was stated by the JI’s Karachi chief, Muhammad Hussain Mehanti, here on Saturday (today).
A private news channel showed police collecting evidence from the scene and the damage the act caused inside the office.
Mehanti said that they are being targeted and it is immensely important to ensure no such incident takes place in future.
According to sources, another election office was burned down by unknown people at UP Morr, North Karachi yesterday.
The situation seems extremely volatile in the metropolitan on eve of general elections and calls for the relevant to taking appropriate measures.
